IN ALTA BADIA

In winter San Cassiano has something for everyone: sledging on "Trù dla liösa Foram", the 7.2 km ski slope from Lagazuoi to San Cassiano – Saré and the cross-country skiing centre Armentarola, as well as numerous excursions on foot or with snow shoes along paths and through woods covered in snow surrounded by the natural beauty of Val Badia.
Take the Piz Sorega cable car, located just 700 metres from our house, up the mountain where you will discover 130 km of perfectly groomed slopes of the Alta Badia ski area which belongs to the famous Dolomiti Superski. Whether on skis or on foot, you can experience wonderful days on the snow, admire scenery whose beauty is next to none and enjoy traditional fare in our refuges.

If you love cross-country skiing, visit the famous Armentarola-San Cassiano centre at the foot of the spectacular Lavarella, Conturines, Lagazuoi and Settsass mountains near Ciasa Primula, the starting point for 26 kilometres of natural trails offering an unforgettable experience in the peace and quiet of the majestic Dolomites.
In winter you can reach the Movimënt area on the Piz Sorega cable car, where you will find theme parks and children’s slopes, the kidslope and funslope where the whole family can have fun together. The area is not just for families, though, as it has a Speedcheck slope where you can feel the exhilaration of speed, a parallel slalom to challenge your friends and one the best-equipped snow parks in Italy and Europe. For the fearless, there is the Gran Risa World where you can experience what it’s like to be a Ski World Cup champion.

Lovers of ski mountaineering will find the ascents up the most beautiful mountains of all Europe fun and exciting, and the views of the Ladin villages in the valleys and the panorama from the very top will be a fitting reward for all their efforts.
